R. Lou Martinez, MBA, is the Founder and Financial Advisor behind Alpine Family Financial, which helps individuals, families, and business owners build financial strategies designed for long-term confidence and clarity.
With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Lou brings a unique blend of personal advisory experience, leadership, and strategic planning to every client relationship. He began his career as a Financial Advisor focused on comprehensive wealth management before moving into senior leadership roles with nationally recognized financial firms including National Life Group and Prudential Financial. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with families, business owners, and other financial professionals to navigate complex financial decisions, retirement planning, investment strategies, and long-term wealth preservation.
Lou founded Alpine Family Financial on the belief that financial advice should be personal, relationship-driven, and centered around each client’s unique goals and values. Guided by the firm’s philosophy — “Plan. Protect. Ascend.” — Lou partners closely with individuals and families to create thoughtful financial strategies, help safeguard what they’ve worked hard to build, and position them for long-term growth and confidence. He believes the strongest client relationships begin with listening first and are built through trust, clarity, and personalized guidance at every stage of life.
Known for his thoughtful guidance, approachable style, and commitment to long-term relationships, Lou works to simplify complex financial topics and help clients make informed decisions with confidence.
Lou earned his MBA in Leadership and Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Champlain College. He holds multiple FINRA securities registrations, along with an Oregon Insurance License, allowing him to provide comprehensive investment, retirement, and insurance planning services.
When he’s not working with clients, Lou and his family can often be found skiing and hiking throughout the Cascade-Siskiyou region and enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
